Facelift Recovery Timeline
Our facelifts are done under general anesthesia at our accredited day surgery center. On the day of surgery, Dr Fichadia will meet you in the preoperative area, do your markings and answer any questions you have. You will be rolled into our operating room and wake up in the recovery room once the surgery is completed. During the surgery, you are closely monitored by our board-certified anesthesiologist. Dr Fichadia will review the surgery with your companion, and you will be discharged after being observed for 1-2 hours. The first follow up is the day after surgery.

Days 1–3
- Supportive bandage dressing applied
- Drains typically removed at first post-op visit on day 1
- Head elevated; minimal discomfort
Days 4–7
- Swelling and bruising begin to fade
- Front sutures removed
- Light walking encouraged
Weeks 2–3
- Remaining sutures removed
- Return to light social activities
- Makeup can cover residual bruising
Weeks 4–6
- Final contours emerge
- Incisions soften and fade
- Resume full activity (as advised)
